Meet Taha Jahmi.

Taha Jami is a senior at Maritime College in New York. He’s been an iTech for almost three years. We’ve yet to find a shattered screen that he can’t fix.

Why did you become an iTech?

I’ve always been a tinkerer at heart. I began fixing things for my family years ago and realized I was pretty dang good at it. I was actually fixing one of my professor’s phones and he mentioned he’d heard of a company called iCracked that I should look into. And as they say, the rest is history. I really owe it to that professor.

Since you are a student, do you do many repairs on your campus?

Tons. Being an iTech fits my schedule perfectly. It allows me to schedule repairs for when I don’t have any classes and, unlike other part-time jobs for students, it also allows me to focus on school because I’m not required to work a set schedule. I’m not working crazy hours in a restaurant or shop; I’m setting my own schedule and learning every day along the way. I’ve become a micro-entrepreneur through iPhone repair. It’s crazy.

That’s awesome. Can you expand on that? What else has your iTech experience taught you?

Being an iTech has taught me the different aspects of opening and running business. I took a bunch of courses in school that taught me what to do, but with iCracked I’ve truly learned because I’m experiencing it first hand and dealing with real issues, and not just examples. It is MY reputation, livelihood and success that’s on the line.

What’s your favorite thing about being an iTech?

Favorite part of being an iTech is: everything. It’s flexible, takes me to pretty cool places, I meet a lot of interesting people and make my customers happy. There aren’t many better feelings than that.
