Siri Updates

At WWDC 2012, Apple announced that Siri will be coming to the new iPad this fall. With the new iOS 6 operating system Siri will have some new updates and advanced features to look forward to. The new functionality should help make Apple’s intelligent personal assistant more useful and user-friendly.

Siri for sports fans

You will soon be able to ask Siri for player stats, scores from live games, scores from previous games, season stats, and more. Siri follows baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and hockey. You can have Siri track your favorite teams or compare players’ stats.

Siri for movie buffs

Find movies by location or show time with Siri. You can even ask Siri for movie reviews, movie trailers, and cast information.

Siri for foodies

With Siri you will be able to find a restaurant by cuisine type, location, price, etc. Ask Siri to show you restaurant reviews, photos, Yelp stars, and more. Siri will even make a reservation for you.

Siri for social media

Ask Siri to update your status on Facebook or post a Tweet to your Twitter account.

Siri for Apps

Siri will soon be able to launch apps for you, making your Apple experience even more hands free

Hopefully these new additions to Siri will make the App helpful and practical to the user. It would be nice to use Siri to make things easier instead of using it to see the crazy answers it will spit back to you.
